Updates
🎉 New Feature: Custom Summary Length
We've added the option to set a minimum word count for your email summaries. This gives you tighter control over how concise or detailed the output should be.
Just click the gear icon in the extension popup, adjust the “Min words” slider, and hit Save.
Happy summarizing!
Update: EmailSummarizer now supports thread‑wide summarization
We’ve added a new option that lets you get a concise summary of an entire email thread instead of just the current message.
1. Open the conversation you’re following.
2. Click the Summarize Thread button in the extension panel.
3. The tool pulls the key points from all messages in that thread and displays a single, easy‑to‑read summary.
Give it a try—your inbox will feel a lot less crowded!
📣 Quick Update – New Custom Length Setting
Hi everyone,
We’re excited to announce a small but handy improvement to the EmailSummarizer Chrome Extension:
You can now set a custom maximum length for the summaries.
What’s new?
Custom Length Slider – After opening the extension panel, you’ll see a slider labelled *“Max Summary Length”*. Drag it to adjust how many words the generated summary should contain.
Save Your Preference – The setting is saved per profile, so your chosen length stays the same across all emails.
Auto‑Adjust for Short Emails – If an email is shorter than the set limit, the extension will simply return the whole content, no need for a separate setting.
Why this matters
Sometimes you just want a quick 30‑word recap, and other times you need a fuller 200‑word digest. This tweak gives you that flexibility without having to manually edit the output.
If you run into any issues or have suggestions, drop a comment or open a ticket on our GitHub page. Happy summarizing!
Quick Tip: Fine‑Tune Your Summaries
We've added a “Summary Length” slider to the extension options.
With it you can specify whether you want a short 2‑sentence recap or a longer 5‑sentence overview.
Just go to `chrome://extensions`, click EmailSummarizer → Options, and adjust the slider to match the depth you need for each inbox.
